We have another addition to the “Recipes My Kids Don’t Hate Collection Today.” If you missed last week’s edition, check it out for the most amazing Tator Tot Casserole you’ve ever tasted.
This week’s recipe celebrating “food my family almost liked” comes from Georgia at The Comfort of Cooking. I love, love, love this recipe- partly because it’s so stinking simple, partly because it can be made in so many different ways. I have made it as listed with ham, cheese and mozzarella; and with a spaghetti filling of cooked ground beef, marinara sauce and a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Seven: “Needs Ranch.” Ate 3 servings.
Four: “I TOLD you I don’t like hamburger!” Ate 3 servings.
Three: “Disgustin'” Apparently on hunger strike.
~ I love this easy, quick recipe for pizza dough from All Recipes- simply add about a teaspoon of garlic powder and a about a tablespoon of Italian seasoning to the mix to amp up the flavor. Refrigerated dough works great too, you won’t lose points for grabbing a tube of Pillsbury.
~ Baking time calls for 50 minutes, but definitely varies- we’ve found about 23 minutes to be ideal, so watch closely.
Some other delicious filling combinations:
Philly Cheese: roast beef, onions, peppers and swiss cheese.
Buffalo Chicken: shredded chicken, hot sauce, ranch and mozzarella.
Pizza: pepperoni, pizza, sauce, cheddar and mozzarella.
So, make your way over to The Comfort of cooking, buy (or make) a batch of pizza dough, add your favorite ingredients, roll up and bake away. Oh, and don’t forget the Ranch dressing.
